Every year I travel to Burgundy to play a few concerts with friends in some of the most beautiful little churches. This year, I’ll be performing with violinist Natasa Grujic, violist Geerten Feller, and cellist Giorgos Kotsiolis. We’ll be playing music by Schubert, Haydn, and more.

With Club Classique, we’ve created an entirely new version of Bizet’s famous opera. Featuring a male soprano as Carmen, a quintet instead of a full orchestra, and drag queens in place of the choir, we’ve turned it into a modern queer reinterpretation. We perform three times a day!

Together with the Schiermonnikoog Festival, we at Club Classique are launching a talent development program in Friesland. With around ten young talents, we will spend several days immersed in the beautiful surroundings of Nynke’s Pleats, culminating in two final concerts featuring these promising musicians of tomorrow.

With Club Classique, we’ve been hitting the road for a few years now with the most fabulous divas of the Western Hemisphere. The audience calls the shots — pick an aria from our long list, and we’ll make it happen. All the while, Karin Strobos and Judith van Wanroij keep things hilariously entertaining!
