In my new music theatre production, I join writer and master storyteller Abdelkader Benali in exploring the rich history of the Mediterranean. In a café in Alexandria about 100 years ago, all kinds of travelers pass through from different times and distant lands. Through storytelling, classical music, Turkish and Sufi melodies, Cretan sounds, and Arabic maqam, we present a tribute to the traveler.
