With Club Classique, we have been touring for several years with the finest divas of the Western Hemisphere. The audience takes the lead and gets to choose from an extensive list of arias — you request, we perform. Meanwhile, Karin Strobos and Judith van Wanroij provide plenty of humor and entertainment throughout the evening.

With Club Classique, we’re part of the opening concert of the Schiermonnikoog Festival, where the audience is treated to musical previews of what’s to come throughout the rest of the festival!

This autumn, Café De Berkenplas once again hosts the Broedpleats talent concerts. Young Dutch musicians, accompanied by Club Classique, will present their newest programs here. De Berkenplas combines the atmosphere of a traditional Dutch pub with the tranquility of nature, but it is more than just a unique concert venue: it is a breeding ground where the musicians of the future can flourish. There will be two concerts, at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM.

Previously, I performed music by the living composer Jo Sporck. This time, I will once again be joined by two pianists: Jelena Bazova and his son, Antal Sporck. Alongside works by Sporck, the program also features piano sonatas by Scriabin, as well as Fazıl Say’s beautiful Second Sonata, which I will perform.

At the most joyful concert of the year, I get to present and perform! Musicians from AZC Nijmegen join forces with wind players from a local harmony orchestra, resulting in one huge celebration featuring music from Syria, Eritrea, Iran, and Azerbaijan.

In my new music theatre production, I join writer and master storyteller Abdelkader Benali in exploring the rich history of the Mediterranean. In a café in Alexandria about 100 years ago, all kinds of travelers pass through from different times and distant lands. Through storytelling, classical music, Turkish and Sufi melodies, Cretan sounds, and Arabic maqam, we present a tribute to the traveler.
